Coast Guard suspends search for missing man near Morgan City

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard suspended the search for a missing man near Morgan City, Louisiana, Wednesday afternoon.

Coast Guard Sector New Orleans suspended the search at 1:17 p.m. after searching for approximately 61 hours, covering 2,050 square nautical miles.

Watchstanders at Sector New Orleans received a report of a missing Vietnamese man at approximately 11:30 p.m., Sunday. The man was last seen aboard a fishing vessel 37 miles southwest of Morgan City, Louisiana, at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
