BOSTON — The Coast Guard has suspended its search for Mayran Lisovich, 23, at 7:40 p.m. Sunday after being reported missing Saturday evening.
Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Boston command center received notification from Lisovich’s girlfriend at approximately 7:40 p.m. that he had not returned back to the beach from a kayak trip.
He was last been seen on a blue kayak at Fisherman’s Beach in Swampscott, Mass., at approximately 4 p.m.
Rescue crews searched for more than 24 hours covering 836 track miles in a 422-square-nautical-mile area.
“The entire Unified Command is deeply sympathetic to the family and friends of Mr. Lisovich,” said Commander Sean Carroll, Sector Boston Chief of Response.,” said Cmdr. Sean Carroll, Sector Boston Chief of Response. “We are sympathetic to his love ones.”

- Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, Mass., MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter
- Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod HU-25 Falcon aircraft crew
- The 87-foot Coast Guard Cutter Hammerhead, homeported in Woods Hole.
- Marblehead Harbormaster
- Massachusetts Marine Unit
- Massachusetts Environmental police
- Swampscott Police Department
- Massachusetts Police Department Dive Team
Weather on scene was 10-knot winds, one-to-two-foot seas and a 65-degree water temperature.
