Coast Guard suspends search for missing boaters near San Mateo, Calif.

Pacific Southwest Coast Guard NewsSAN MATEO, Calif. – The Coast Guard suspended their search for two missing boaters at 3:30 p.m. on Monday after their vessel capsized in the San Mateo area at approximately 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Coast Guard received a report of an 18-foot boat capsizing with four people onboard in the vicinity of the Pigeon Point Lighthouse. Two of the people were able to swim to shore on their own with one requiring minor medical attention.

The two missing boaters were reportedly not wearing personal flotation devices.
