Coast Guard suspends search for missing boater

Northeast Atlantic Coast Guard NewsNEW YORK – The Coast Guard suspended its search for the missing person in the water from the 30-foot capsized vessel in Stamford, Conn., today.

The Coast Guard called off the search at approximately 12:25 p.m. after the victim was found deceased.

A boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Eatons Neck, NY., and a rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, Mass., along with several other local agencies responded to the search for the missing boater.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
