Coast Guard suspends search for man missing in Baltimore Inner Harbor

BALTIMORE – The Coast Guard suspended its search Tuesday for a man who went missing Monday in Fells Point near the Henderson’s Wharf parking lot.

The Baltimore City Police Department notified Coast Guard Sector Baltimore watchstanders at 9:57 p.m. Monday, reporting that a man jumped into the harbor and was missing.

A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Curtis Bay, Md., Maryland Natural Resources Police, Baltimore City Fire Department, Baltimore City Police Department a Maryland State Police helicopter and dive teams were dispatched to the scene.

The Coast Guard boatcrew arrived on scene at 10:25 p.m. and searched until approximately 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A morning search by Station Curtis Bay’s Response Boat-Small crew was completed at noon. Rescuers spent approximately 11 hours searching.

The search was suspended at 12:43 p.m., pending further developme
