SAVANNAH, Ga. – Coast Guard Station Tybee Island and the Chatham County Marine Patrol will be conducting tactical small boat training Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on the Savannah River near Station Tybee Island located at Ft. Pulaski.
Coast Guard personnel will be using blank weapon ammunitions to ensure that the training is as realistic as possible. The training will demonstrate the various techniques the Coast Guard uses to protect and defend the nation’s waterways.
The training will be similar to the training performed earlier this year on the Potomac River.
