Coast Guard Station Kenosha Rescues Four People in Water

WAUKEGAN, IL (D9 Public Affairs) – Coast Guard Station Kenosha rescued four persons in the water from a boat taking on water six miles north east of Waukegan Harbor this evening at approximately 9:30 p.m.

A 41-foot utility boat crew recovered four men from a 22-foot Wellcraft that sank in the harbor.

The operator of the boat was transferred to a local hospital, while the other three persons were taken to the Waukegan Yacht Club, where Emergency Medical Services were awaiting.

All four were wearing life jackets.

The Coast Guard worked closely the Zion Police Department to locate safely the four persons in distress.
