ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.– A crew from Coast Guard Station Fort Myers Beach, Florida, medevaced a man aboard a 30-foot sailing vessel in Back Bay, Florida, Saturday.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. watchstanders at the station received a report of a 61-year old man, experiencing leg pain, in need of emergency medical assistance in Back Bay.
A 25-foot Response Boat-Small boatcrew from the station arrived on scene at 7:15 a.m. and transferred the man to the station, where EMS was awaiting.
The man was transferred to Health Park Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida.
