Coast Guard Station Eatons Neck medevacs heart attack victim from vessel near Oyster Bay, N.Y

NEW YORK – Coast Guard Station Eatons Neck medically evacuated a 60-year-old man from his vessel less than a mile offshore near Oyster Bay, N.Y., this morning.

Vessel operator aboard his 35-foot, white hull sloop contacted Station Eatons Neck at approximately 2:00 a.m. this morning, reporting that he was experiencing chest and back pain and was requesting to be taken off his vessel.

At 2:39 a.m., Coast Guard Station Eatons Neck arrived on scene and transferred the man to Oyster Bay Rescue, an awaiting Emergency Medical Service at Roosevelt Memorial Park Marina where he was further transferred to Huntington Hospital.
