Coast Guard Sets Safety Zone on Ohio River

PITTSBURGH — The U. S. Coast Guard is scheduled to establish a safety zone on the Ohio River, Tuesday, in preparation for the Light the Night Walk fireworks show.

The safety zone will extend approximately 220 feet from the left descending bank, from mile marker 0.0, near Art Rooney Avenue, to 0.1, near the Carnegie Museum, and will be enforced from 7:50 p.m., until 8:50 p.m.

Mariners shall not enter into, depart from, or move within the safety zone unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Pittsburgh or a designated representative. All concerned mariners may contact the Coast Guard on the day of the event on VHF-FM Channel 16 for more information.
