NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard has set port conditions Yankee and Zulu along the Gulf Coast in preparation of Hurricane Michael.
The Coast Guard has set Port Condition Yankee in the following ports and waterways:
- Gulf Intracoastal Waterway west of Perdido Pass.
- Port of Gulfport
- Port of Mobile
- Port of Pascagoula
The Coast Guard has set Port Condition Zulu in the following ports and waterways:
- Gulf Intracoastal Waterway east of Perdido Pass
- Port of Panama City
- Port of Pensacola

It is crucial that residents and visitors in the areas that will be affected by Michael listen to, and follow, the instructions of local, state and tribal officials, as both mandatory and voluntary evacuations are underway.
