BOSTON — Coast Guard seasonal Station Scituate is scheduled to close Friday for the 2017 summer season. The unit is scheduled to re-open prior to the 2018 Memorial Day weekend.

The unit closes each year due to reduced boating traffic during the fall and winter. Coast Guard Station Point Allerton, its parent command, will assume duty for all responses in the area.

Mariners are reminded to report all marine emergencies to Coast Guard Sector Boston using VHF channel 16 or by calling 617-223-5757.
