CLEVELAND — Coast Guard Sector Buffalo is coordinating a multi-agency search to locate two men who were reported missing at 11:00 a.m. today near Euclid, Ohio.
A Coast Guard Air Station Detroit HH65 Dolphin rescue helicopter and a Coast Guard Station Cleveland Harbor 41-foot utility boat have been searching for the missing individuals.
A local Police helicopter, local Police Marine Unit boat, a Canadian C-130 aircraft from RCC Trenton and a Canadian Griffin helicopter are assisting in the search.
The names and ages of the missing men are Gregory DeWirth, 24 and Nick Stokle, 23.
The two men are believed to have departed from shore in a white, fiberglass, 13-foot sailboat sometime early this morning and have not been seen or heard from since. Individuals that may have information on the location of the two men are asked to contact their nearest Coast Guard unit.
