JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard is searching for two people aboard an overdue 30-foot vessel Friday afternoon off the coast of St. Augustine, Fla.
Missing are Diana Motylkov, 44, and Pavel Motylkov, 49.
Diana and Pavel departed from a marina in St. Augustine aboard their 30-foot vessel Animal Control, also called Ms. Linda, Sunday and told their babysitter they would be home in three or four days.
The two people were last spotted Monday by the fishing vessel Jodi Lynn about 55 miles east of St. Augustine. There has been no contact with Dianna or Pavel since.
Currently involved in the search are a Coast Guard C-130 aircraft crew from Air Station Clearwater, Fla., the crew of the 87-foot Coast Guard Cutter Shrike, homeported in Port Canaveral, Fla., and a Navy P-3 aircraft crew from Naval Air Station Jacksonville which did an initial flyover of the search area with no observations of the missing people or vessel.
