SAN FRANCISCO – The Coast Guard is searching for a person in the water near Pacifica Beach Pier.
The Coast Guard received the report from the San Mateo Fire Department around 2:30 p.m. and immediately launched a Dolphin helicopter from Air Station San Francisco and a 47 Motor Lifeboat from Station Golden Gate. Local law enforcement along with a Coast Guard Auxiliary Mobile Unit is also taking part in the search.
The man reportedly went swimming with three other men and wasn’t seen again. The reporting source called the fire department and then the Coast Guard was notified.
