NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard along with the New Orleans Harbor Police are searching for a missing person who reportedly went missing in the river near the Canal Street Ferry at approximately 4 a.m. today.
Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a call from the New Orleans Police Department stating that a woman claimed to be swimming along side another female but, the other female never came back to shore.
Sector New Orleans launched a 41-foot utility boat from Station New Orleans and a HH-65C rescue helicopter crew from Air Station New Orleans to the scene.
