CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coast Guard is searching for an 18-year-old man in the water who was last seen swimming between Packery Channel and Bob Hall Pier near Corpus Christi, Texas, Thursday.

Coast Guard Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi watchstanders received a report of three persons in the water, two males and one female, swimming 150-200 yards offshore when the male and female lost sight of the other male.

The female swimmer was able to make it back to shore while the male was assisted back to shore by Corpus Christi Beach Rescue. The missing swimmer is reported to be wearing pink swimming trunks.

Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched an Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi MH–65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew and a Coast Guard Station Port Aransas 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boat crew.
