Coast Guard searching for missing swimmer near Bradley Point Beach, Conn.

NEW YORK – Coast Guard search-and-rescue crews are looking for a missing swimmer in the vicinity of Bradley Point Beach, Conn., today.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound received a call from West Haven Police Department at approximately 3:50 p.m., today, regarding a 17-year-old male, who was reported missing by his fiancé, who stated he went under he water and never resurfaced.

A rescue crew from Coast Guard Station New Haven and Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod are searching for the missing swimmer alongside the Milford Fire Department Dive Team, West Haven Fire Department, West Haven Police Department, and several Good Samaritan vessels.
