SAVANNAH, Ga., – The Coast Guard, Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Chatham County Marine Rescue are searching for a missing boater who fell overboard while pulling into the Isle of Hope Marina located on the Intracoastal Waterway Sunday.
Missing is Derrel Williams, 23, hometown unknown.
The Coast Guard was notified at approximately 8:18 p.m. Sunday that a 23-year-old male fell overboard from a fishing boat attempting to tie up at the Isle of Hope Marina. A Coast Guard Air Station Savannah HH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew, a Coast Guard Station Tybee Island 25-foot rescue boat crew, Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Chatham County Marine Rescue are searching.
