NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard and Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Department are searching for a man reportedly missing near Lake De Cade, Tuesday.
Missing is Gary Crochet, 69, of Houma.
Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders were notified by the Terrebonne Parish Sherriff’s Department at 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, that they had located an unmanned 16-ft. skiff, which Crochet was reportedly seen fishing from earlier that day.
A Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew was launched as well as a Coast Guard Station Grande Isle 24 ft. Special Purpose Craft and crew. Terrebonne Sheriff’s Department also has a rescue craft on scene.
