SEATTLE – The Coast Guard is searching for a man who fell overboard from his sailing vessel, near Kelley, Ore., at approximately 4 p.m., Sunday.
The 46-year-old male fell was on board the 65-foot sailing vessel Bad Dog when he fell overboard into the Columbia River. The three remaining people on board reported that he was not wearing a life jacket.
A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter, from Air Station Astoria, Ore., and a Coast Guard 47-foot motor lifeboat, from Station Cape Disappointment, in Ilwaco, Wash., is searching the area along with a Kelly Fire Department rescue vessel and a Wahkiakum County Sheriff vessel.
