MIAMI – An HH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Miami and crewmembers from Station Fort Lauderdale, Fla., are searching for, Oliveiro Fernandez, a 44-year-old man who was reported missing from the 512-foot casino ship, Island Adventure, about noon Tuesday.
The master of the Island Adventure contacted Search and Rescue coordinators at Coast Guard Sector Miami to report Fernandez, a staff member aboard the casino vessel, had not been seen since 9:30 p.m. Monday.
The Island Adventure departed Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale 7:30 p.m. Monday and returned 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The Coast Guard is conducting its search patterns according to the Island Adventure’s position when Fernandez was last seen.
