Wilmington, N.C. — The Coast Guard and partner agencies are searching for a man Thursday in the Little Alligator River near Fort Landing.
Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector North Carolina command center in Wilmington were notified around noon that a 17-foot skiff was found traveling in circles unmanned.
An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew out of Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City launched to search along with two North Carolina Marine Patrol crews and one Tyrell County Fire Department boat crew.
Crews remain on scene searching.
