Coast Guard searching for Cuban migrants reported missing from capsized vessel

Robert YeredMIAMI — The Coast Guard is searching Monday for survivors who were reported missing by three Cuban migrants found on an island in the vicinity of Big Pine Key.

The three men reported they left Cuba on Tuesday with 23 people aboard a rustic vessel and that the vessel capsized Wednesday evening.

A Coast Guard Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew and the Coast Guard Cutter Robert Yered are searching for survivors.
