Coast Guard searching for 6 near Atlantic City, N.J.

Atlantic City, N.J. – The Coast Guard is searching for six men aboard a 32-foot boat who are overdue about 85 miles east of Atlantic City Sunday.

OverdueCoast Guard Air Station Atlantic City HH-65 Helicopter is Bernie Otiemsky, Jerry Lewis, Ed Filcox, Geoffrey McDade, James McDade and Ray Somerville.

The Coast Guard received a call at 6:40 p.m. from the wife of one of the missing men reporting the men left Forked River, N.J., aboard the vessel Black Magic on Saturday for an overnight fishing trip to Toms Canyon and were due back Sunday morning.

Two rescue helicopter crews from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., An aircrew of a Coast Guard C-130 aircraft from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Finback, homeported in Cape May, N.J., a rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light, N.J., and a rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet, N.J., are participating in the search.
