KEY WEST, Fla. – The Coast Guard along with Monroe County Sheriff’s Office are searching for two women Tuesday who went into the water in Boot Key Harbor near Marathon.
Coast Guard Sector Key West watchstanders received a call at approximately 2:30 am., from Chris Hambrock reporting he was on a small row boat with two females who reportedly jump overboard and attempted to swim to shore. He lost sight of the two women and contacted MCSO.
A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Miami, a 33-foot Special Purpose Craft-Law Enforcement boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Marathon and MCSO are currently searching for the two missing women.
