Coast Guard searching for 2 people in the water near Halona Blowhole

A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Honolulu, an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point and the crew of Coast Guard Cutter Kittiwake, an 87-foot coastal patrol boat homeported in Honolulu, are searching for the missing men.

Honolulu Fire Department and Ocean Safety are also assisting with search efforts.

Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Honolulu Command Center received notification from the Honolulu Fire Department Saturday at 5:07 p.m. of the situation. The two men were last seen at approximately 5 p.m.

On-scene weather conditions are 17 mph winds and 4-foot seas.
