MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Coast Guard and local agencies are searching for two people after their vessel sank at mile marker 733 on the Mississippi River near Memphis, Tennessee, Friday.

Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River watchstanders received a notification of a mayday broadcast at 11:42 a.m. of the 66-foot motor vessel Ricky Robinson owned by Wepfer Marine Inc. sinking with two people aboard.

Involved in the search are:

  • Sector Lower Mississippi River 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew
  • Memphis Police Department Aviation
  • Memphis Police Department and Harbor Patrol
  • Shelby County Sheriff’s Office
