Coast Guard searching for 2 overdue boaters in Marathon, Fla.

47 Fairport HarborMIAMI — The Coast Guard is searching for two missing boaters who were expected to arrive in Marathon, Fla., Sunday.

Raymond and Davonna Churchill from Marathon are believed to have left Key West, Fla., Saturday and have not been heard from since.

At approximately 1 p.m Tuesday., watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Key West received a report from the marina manager at the Keys Boatworks Marina of the Churchills who failed to arrive in Marathon Sunday. Watchstanders issued an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast and launched Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission crews to begin searching.

The Churchills were aboard a white 41-foot sailing vessel, Sea Lark.
