Coast Guard searching for 17-year-old male near Mobile Bay

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard is searching for a 17-year-old male reported in the northeastern portion of Mobile Bay, Alabama, Wednesday.

Missing is Parker Morgan.

Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a notification of a distress call via cell phone at 8:54 p.m. Tuesday explaining that Morgan was on a 2017 red and blue jet ski that had run aground and become disabled south of the I-10 bridge, two nautical miles from shore in Mobile Bay. Morgan was reported to be wearing his life jacket.

  • Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile HC-144 Ocean Sentry fixed wing crew
  • Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew
  • Daphne search and rescue
  • North Baldwin Sheriff’s search and rescue
  • Baldwin County Fire Department
  • Fairhope Police Department
