NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard is searching for a 16-year-old male last seen swimming near Fort Morgan Beach near Gulf Shores, Alabama, Sunday.

Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a notification at 1:58 p.m. of the 16-year-old swimming and reportedly being swept under by the rip current in view of Fort Morgan Beach.

Involved in the search are:

  • Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island 29-foot Response Boat-Small boatcrew
  • Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew
  • Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department
  • Bon Secour Fire Department
