Coast Guard searches for overdue fishermen

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard is searching for three fishermen who did not return home after an underway transit, Tuesday.

Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a report from Jean Breazeale, Monday at approximately 10 p.m., that Larry Folse, Glenn Jackson, Jr., and Glenn Jackson III did not return home after a transit from Georgia to Grand Isle, La.

The men are transiting in a 65-foot fishing vessel that is in the process of transfer of ownership and vessel name, from Capt. Flosie to Miss Sue.

Currently searching is a Coast Guard HC-144A Ocean Sentry and crew from Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile, Ala.

Also, an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast was issued to mariners in the area.
