NEW ORLEANS- The Coast Guard is searching for John Chaisson, a 45 -year-old male, after he was reported missing while working aboard the tug boat Patriot Service on the Mississippi River today.
Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a call from a crewmember aboard the Patriot Service at 9 p.m. reporting Chaisson went missing in the vicinity of mile marker 89 on the Mississippi River and requested Coast Guard assistance.
Sector New Orleans launched a HH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter crew from Air Station New Orleans and a 41-foot small-boat rescue crew from Station New Orleans.
The Coast Guard remains on scene
