Coast Guard searches for missing swimmer

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard is searching for a swimmer reported missing earlier this evening along the surf off of Long Beach, Wash.

The missing swimmer is described as a 17-year-old male wearing white swimming trunks.

An HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Astoria, Ore., and a 47-foot motor lifeboat crew from Station Cape Disappointment, Wash., are on scene conducting the search.

The initial call was received by the Pacific County Dispatch who relayed the information to the Coast Guard.
