FORT MACON, N.C. — Captain of the Port Zone North Carolina has returned to port condition Seasonal Alert Friday.
The port of Morehead is open to all vessel traffic based on a satisfactory channel survey that was conducted by the Coast Guard and Army Corps of Engineers for Beaufort Inlet Channel entrance. While surveys have been conducted, all mariners are reminded to proceed with extreme caution due to the potential for shoaling associated with storm force weather.
Vessel or facility operators shall notify Sector North Carolina of any issues that may prevent or limit hurricane preparedness and identify items of potential concern that cannot be mitigated within 72 hours.
