Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report at 12:06 p.m. Saturday of a vessel with six people aboard taking on water near Breton Sound, Louisiana.
Coast Guard watchstanders directed the launch of a Response Boat-Small crew from Coast Guard Station Venice to assist.
The Coast Guard boat crew arrived on scene at 1:10 p.m., and discovered that the vessel was beached on Breton Island. With the assistance of a good Samaritan, the Coast Guard crew recovered four people from the vessel and transported them to Station Venice.
Two people remained aboard the vessel and were towed back to Venice by Sea Tow.
