New Orleans- Personnel from Coast Guard Sector New Orleans responded earlier today when the Canal Street ferry, the Thomas Jefferson, collided with a dock.
While approaching the east bank moorings the Thomas Jefferson experienced a power loss causing it to collide with the dock.
Three people were treated for minor injuries by local EMS.
The ferry was taken out of service pending repairs. The investigation into the cause of the power loss continues.
