NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard is responding to flooding in Washington Parish, Friday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a request at 8:39 a.m., for assistance in rescuing victims of flooding in the cities around Washington Parish. The watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew to assist with rescues.
The Coast Guard has received reports that multiple people may be stranded on rooftops due to flooding around the Muster Ground Creek and Pearl River area.
