MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. – The Coast Guard is currently responding to a report of a disabled pleasure craft off Saint George, CA. The 27 foot vessel, which has two people on board, has become disabled and is drifting within 1 mile of the reef.
A Good Samaritan has taken the vessel into tow to keep them from drifting onto the dangerous shoals. A Coast Guard HH65 Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Humboldt Bay and a 47’ Motor Life Boat from Coast Guard Station Chetco River are enroute at this time.
