Coast Guard Reserve Small Boat Round Up

 LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Coast Guard Reserve is scheduled to conduct training along the Louisville waterfront here this week.

Coast Guard reservists from Coast Guard Sector Ohio Valley, which covers 10 states, will be training as boat crew members and coxswains. A coxswain is the person in charge of driving Coast Guard small boats and the crewmembers.

Four Coast Guard 25-foot rescue boat crews crews will be on the Ohio River near the Louisville waterfront conducting training missions such as towing, maneuvering and navigation, and search and rescue.
