SEATTLE – A Coast Guard rescue helicopter crew hoisted a woman who had fallen 50-feet from a cliff near Newport, Ore.
Newport Fire and Rescue responded to the initial call around 2 p.m. of a 25-year-old woman who became unconscious after falling from a cliff and into a tidal pool at Yaquina Head near Newport, Ore. Newport Fire and Rescue was able to pull the injured woman onto the beach and requested Coast Guard assistance.
A Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Group North Bend responded to the scene. The unconscious woman was hoisted and transported to Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, Ore.
