NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued two people near Baptiste Collette, Louisiana, Sunday.
Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report at 7:40 p.m. that two men lost the keys to their small boat at approximately 7:00 a.m. and were unable to start their engines.
Coast Guard Station Venice launched a 24-foot Special Purpose Craft-Shallow Water crew and Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans launched an MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter crew.
The helicopter crew hoisted the two people and transferred them to Oschner Medical Center where they were reported to be in stable condition.
