Coast Guard Rescues Missing Jet Skier

MOBILE, Ala. — The Coast Guard rescued a man this morning who went missing on a rented jet ski in Panama City Beach, Fla., Monday.

The Coast Guard received the initial report at approximately 6 p.m., Monday, from Florida Fish and Wildlife, that a man hadn’t returned his rented jet ski at the pre-arranged time.

A Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter and crew spotted the man and the jet ski at approximately 4 a.m., Tuesday. The man had run out of gas and run aground due to the strong winds.
