Coast Guard rescues missing diver near Port Everglades

MIAMI — The Coast Guard rescued a missing diver Friday in the vicinity of Port Everglades.

Rescued was Ariane Dimistris, from New York.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Miami received a phone call from a 22-foot recreational vessel at approximately 12:20 p.m. that Dimistris was missing.

A Coast Guard Station Fort Lauderdale 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew arrived on scene, pulled Dimistris from the water and returned her to the vessel with no reported injuries.
