Coast Guard rescues 3 near Beach Haven, NJ

5th Coast Guard District NewsBEACH HAVEN, N.J. — The Coast Guard rescued three people after the 34-foot recreational boat they were aboard ran aground in the vicinity of the Great Bay here, Monday.

The Coast Guard received a call at 5:33 a.m., over VHF-FM channel 16, from the owner of the Naughty Girl reporting they ran aground and were taking on water.

A 25-foot Response Boat – Small crew from Coast Guard Station Beach Haven arrived on scene and took the three people off the boat and transported them to Great Bay Marina in Beach Haven.

No injuries were reported.

Towboat US will salvage the recreational boat.
