CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Coast Guard rescued two people from the water Saturday after their canoe capsized near Fancy Bluff Creek, Georgia.

At 1:48 p.m., Coast Guard Sector Charleston Command Center watchstanders were notified by Station Brunswick of a capsized 14-foot canoe with two people on board.

A Coast Guard Station Brunswick 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew diverted to assist.

The RB-S crew arrived on scene at 1:53 p.m., recovered the two canoers from the water and transported them to Morningstar Marina where EMS were waiting.
