Coast Guard rescues 2 near Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard rescued two people today aboard a 20-foot disabled boat near the Walt Whitman Bridge in Philadelphia.

The Coast Guard received a call about 1:30 p.m from a crewmember aboard the boat requesting assistance because their boat was disabled and adrift.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Philadelphia arrived on scene and towed the boat and its crew to a boat ramp near the Walt Whitman Bridge.
