PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard rescued two people today who were aboard a disabled 34-foot sailboat one mile east of Cape Henlopen, Del.
The Coast Guard received a call at 12:55 a.m. via marine radio from a crewmember aboard the Amada Marie reporting their steering was locked up and they were drifting toward shore.
A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Indian River, Del., arrived on scene and towed the boat and its crew to Cape Henlopen.
The crew anchored safely inside Cape Henlopen.
