ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The Coast Guard rescued two stranded jet skiers Sunday who became stranded near Brigantine.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City received a report at about 1:30 p.m. indicating two woman were stranded after running their jet ski into shallow-water marshlands north of Sand Thorofare, approximately one mile west of downtown Brigantine.
An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City responded.
The helicopter crew arrived on scene, lowered a rescue swimmer and hoisted both women to the helicopter.
The crew flew the women to Air Station Atlantic City where they were picked up by a family member.
Both women declined medical assistance.
