MIAMI — The Coast Guard rescued two people from the water after a collision involving jet skies near Fort Zachary Taylor in Key West, Sunday.
Watchstanders with Coast Guard Sector Key West received a call from a good Samaritan reporting the collision and two people in the water; one with a possible rib cage injury.
The watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Station Key West boatcrew to assist. The boatcrew arrived on scene, rescued the two from the water and transferred them to awaiting emergency medical services at the station in stable condition.
